classroom management discussion

Assignment 4
My situation that we discussed was having two disruptive students sitting together. When they were together it seemed they would set each other off into disruptive actions, such as cracking jokes and making rude noises and laughing.
My solution for this problem was to warn them about their behaviour and ask them to leave. then they would have to answer to their superviser and deal with the consequences. So i seperated them in the class room and that seemed to solve the problem and the other students were able to comment on their behaviour, which I think helped them settle down and let everybody learn the class lesson.

Blogs in Higher Education:
Blogs are great for learning and sharing information among students and teacher. The positives out weigh the negatives and is evolving into an excellent self learning and group learning tool.

How Technology can improve Learner-Centered teaching:
As technology advances more learner-centered teaching will happen. We as teachers will use and improve methods of using technology, which could begin the elimination of teaching jobs in the future.

A Learner-Centered Approach Affects student Motivation:
Studies are showing the benefits of Learner-Centered teaching. Just like in any learning situation the best students will rise to the top. With group work they bring the rest of the group along with them. Everybody has a chance to succeed, which will improve motivation.

8 Education Tools That Are Going Away:
Some of these teaching tools will eventually be phased out. Everybody will not be able to afford a coputer or iPhone or a tablet. So some of the conventional teaching methods may still be around for awhile to accommodate everyone.

Taking the Struggle out of Group Work:
Along with everything, Group Work has its advantage and disadvantages. finding ways to asses participation by reflecting it in their marks keeps most students honest, especially amongst themselves. I'm sure improvements and strategies will always be part of the future of Group Work teaching.
