Classroom Management
Managing interruption
Situation: I had a disruptive senior employee who didn't want to participate with the training. Because of legislation bill 217-1 all employees need to be trained on the equipment they are operating. This employee had been operating for several years with out a documented training record. He kept disrupting the class and did not want to participate.
Solution: I told him it was not my rule and with out him having the officiall sign off paper on that piece of equipment he will not be able to operate.
Simple and to the point. In the end I asked him if he wanted to stay or leave. He chose to stay.

I find that scaffolding is very effective in operator training and I liked how you used it in your class. Great use of adding technology instead of lecture. I hope to get better with technology.

Very thorough instructions for your students for accounting site. Revenue Canada web site was very handy for your students to look at on their own time. I like assigning my operators with watching You tube to free up practical training time.

It is good for your students to experiment and assess their abilities for hair coloring. Especially when you are coloring someones hair and it turns out green. Better to have realize what can go wrong in your class before on real clients.
